The Philippines and other two countries, Indonesia and Japan will be hosting the FIBA Basketball tournament 2023. They won against Argentina And Uruguay in the bidding protocol.
The games will be contributed for each host countries though but good news because the Semi-Finals and Finals of the said event will be played in the Philippines.
The Philippines lost to China for 2019 FIBA bidding. So this will be a happy moment for the country as they've been aiming to host for the said event.
The current players for the Philippines are the veteran point guard Jayson Castro and small Gabe Norwood. Forward Japhet Aguilar and Center JunMar Fajardo another old point guard player is the injured Terrence Romeo and the neutralize import Andre Blatche.
The new members are the Cebuano small guard Roger Pogoy, Matthew Winright, Keffer Ravena and Calvin Abueva. Bench or reserve players are Allen Maliksi, Troy Rosario and LA Revilla.

Since Philippines is one of the host countries for FIBA 2023. They will be automatically qualified for the FIBA Cup.
Recently, the Philippine Basketball team won against Japan and Chinese Taipei for FIBA 2019 qualifiers without their point guard Terrence Romeo playing due to some therapy. They will playing against Australia by February 2018.
Surely the Philippines can surely host big basketball events as they have now a new Basketball Arena that caters 50,0000 people in Bulacan Philippines. And they are known as a basketball crazy country.
