Philippines- Still I would like to congratulate Ms Jover of PinoyAkoBlog who was awarded by Inquirer Filipinos of the Year 2017. She truly deserves it, but why?
The first reason I could see she deserves as the Inquirer's 2017 Awardee is that she is back up by the Liberal Party to attack Duterte and his administration. If you guys check her blog (Pinoyakoblog.com), hundred percent of her articles are against Duterte's administration. Read it for yourself and find out. Regardless of what the good things the Duterte's administration has been doing for the Filipino people. This woman Jover found no good things at all for the President. She always malign the President and his administration.
Majority of the Filipino people was satisfied of Duterte's performance based on the current survey by SWS which is even acknowledged by international media like Forbes. His rating remain "Very Good" in the last quarter of 2017, which means the President of the Philippines really has an amazing performance.

Despite of all these, anti-Duterte like Jover still consider him as a monster. I don't know why.
The second reason, I could see why Inquirer selected her as their Awardee is that, Duterte in the past attacked them as biased media institution. And not only that, Duterte has also announced in public that their office building is a public property and the company didn't pay the right tax during the time of the previous administration.
Why would the Inquirer nominate a pro-duterte to be their awardee? Of course they don't. They would surely nominate an anti-duterte for their own interest and who was by their side when the time Duterte unleashed their illegal moves.
I'm sure Duterte would not stop until the Inquirer would pay the right tax like what he did to influential people Lucio Tan and the Mighty Tobacco Corp.
